About

Vytenis Danielius QUARTET/TRIO/SOLO

Leading the quartet, Vytenis Danielius, a prominent Lithuanian accordionist and singer with a background in both classical and jazz music, brings his original compositions as well as works by renowned jazz artists like E. Louiss to life. With a versatile career that spans performances in academic and entertainment music, Vytenis has earned recognition in various international competitions. He is also a multi-instrumentalist, excelling on accordion, saxophone, piano, and vocals.

Accompanying Danielius are three highly talented musicians: Paulius Volkovas, a composer and performer who brings his mastery of guitar, bass guitar, and percussion to the stage; Tuomas J. Räsänen, a professional drummer and graduate of Berklee College of Music, known for his dynamic and rhythmic expertise; and Aliaksey Kryshtal, a jazz double bassist with extensive experience performing at jazz festivals across Europe and America.

Together, this quartet will deliver a mesmerizing performance that blends the innovative sounds of the “Beltuna Matrix” accordion with a modern jazz repertoire, providing the audience with a night of vibrant, soulful, and sophisticated music.

TangoInJazz

Jazz accordionist Vytenis Danielius presents the concert program “Tango in Jazz”. He will be assisted by double bass player Aliaksey Kryshtal and drummer Tuomas J. Räsänen. This trio of talented performers promises listeners an exceptional musical experience and invites them to immerse themselves in the multifaceted world of tango and jazz. The concert will feature arrangements of works by Astor Piazzolla, characteristic compositions created by V. Danieliaus himself, and jazz standards.

VYTENIS DANIELIUS is the winner of many international accordion competitions in both classical and entertainment music categories. He received his musical education while studying in Lithuania, Italy, the Netherlands and Latvia. In his performances, the artist subtly combines the sophistication of classical music with the vigor of jazz and the freedom of improvisation. With a jazz quartet, he actively performs at prestigious festivals in Lithuania and abroad. V. Danielius plays the exclusive “Beltuna Matrix” accordion with electromechanical technology, which creates an extraordinary depth of sound – it’s like the magic of an acoustic orchestra emanating from one instrument.

ALIAKSEY KRYSHTAL is a talented jazz double bassist from Belarus who has played at the most famous European and American jazz festivals. His lively, energetic playing on the double bass gives every piece a unique life and dynamic.

TUOMAS J. RÄSÄNEN – drummer born in Finland, now living in Lithuania, graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. His creativity and rhythmic power of virtuosity enrich every performance, and his long-term experience working with the most famous artists inspires not only his colleagues, but also the audience.
